Any one done this or care to speculate as to what would happen if the LED's were mounted further apart? I think it would allow you to be farther back from the (projection/TV)screen but you may also need to increase the number of LED's for more reflectivity and thus need a little more power than 12V. I am obviously thinking of making myself a new one and am just wondering aloud.......

why dont you just buy a normal bar and test with it so you dont mess up the one you got.

the play asia link doesn't work

it just sends you to there homepage not to the bar for the wii

Before I mount them inside the box I will build I will definately try it out for the spacial difference to see what the effect will be. As I said I am just wondering aloud.... It could be awhile before I finally get to build it. I don't have much spare time. The Wii was mostly for my kids

i would recommend trying the candle trick first place a candle on each end of the tv and try it if it works then a bigger censor bar will work but if it doesn't then you are in trouble

i dont know why ddp banned that guy unless he did something else

anyways its not the length apart that allows for a further distance from the tv

its the strength of the light coming from it.

if you wanna sit further away you have to get brighter LEDS. IE more power to them, but if you give them two much they will blow

the candle trick is inadvisable as its "hit and miss" as to when it works

also using tv/dvd/sky/hifi/pc remotes hardly ever works correctly

if you wanna sit further away i suggest buying the wireless one - or making one of your own.

any way I dont know whats wrong with the Original sensor bar I mean its not liek your are going to play it 10 metres away unless your loounge is a Cinema

i sit around 4-5 metres away from the tv - and the sensor doesnt work.

its annoying when i have to stand to play zelda
