Can't connect wii to the internet....

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Im using a laptop without a router, and a wireless card, So i want to make an ad-hoc connection, so i can access the internet on the wii.

the wii keeps giving me the error; 51031 (cant find access point).

ive entered stuff into the wii like the wep password, the proxy info, the correct ssid etc...

I think the problem is somthing to do with the ip address...on the wireless connection ive put the address as 192.168.0.1 and on the wii its 192.168.0.2. I dont know what to put into the "default router" field either...

sorry about this message, as scattered as my brain is at the moment :P

I tried to do this with my NDS as well and I finally gave up after many frustrating days. I don't want to be a "Negative Nancy" but my advice is to either 1. Give up and buy a router or 2. Buy lots of beer and hang on to your patience as you continue your trial and error work. I sorta did both, I drank lots of beer and gave up. Best wishes to you!!!

stop using ad hoc ad hoc only works on wifi usb adapters for ds and wii sorry just connect the wii to the wireless router all wireless routers can support up to 12 connections via wireless even my own dlink router can do the same thing
