I still can't get this shit to play! I downloaded a game called Kamen Rider Kabuto for the PS2, but the game is a CD... I extracted all of the files, used anyCD to burn it, and it wont play. I downloaded Alcohol 120% ... it wont play... Im currently download Nero after I register I will do the same process.

If any one of you guys successfully burned this game tell me what Im doing wrong... If you want me to upload these files so you can see if you can pull a miracle I will do so immediately. Thank you for your time.

swap magic.. Nvm I got it to work, guess you figured since I didnt spam this whole thread..

It worked after I used Nero, and re-extracted everything... plus it helped that I selected the image file to burn and not the .bin file itself..

newbie move I kno.

Don't be so hard on yourself :-) For future reference, if you post a backup question, also mention your using swap magic. Based on your original post, I could not tell if you were using a mod or not.

mds/mdf pairs are just like bin/cue.. If you burn them as a disk image/saved project it will only let you load the cue file, and then burns the binary image from that. It's the smaller file that is the image.

Quote:

Your MDS & MDF files are Alcholol 120% disc images. Download the trial, install and select the MDS file in the "burn image" (or similar) section.
Same with Nero..load the mds file as a saved project/disk image and burn fairly slow.. Nothing over 24x works well with the ps2. If it's a ps1 game don't burn over 12x as it seems that the software looks for disk speed as an uncracked part of the media check..or that could just be something to do with the disks we tried.

BTW..while this sort of discussion about downloaded content is allowed on AD, due to being based in Finland, you are still admitting piracy by downloading game software and if you live anywhere else apart from very few exceptions you are comitting a copyright infringement.
