I recently decided to save some space and upgrade my huge old CRT monitor to a flat panel one.
I got a 19" WS 16:10 LCD monitor in the sales, with a max res of 1440x900. It is connected by standard dsub cable.

I downed some 720p HD demo content from MS mediaplayer website and have tried on several resolutions inc max and 1024x768 but it just doesnt look that much better to me than anything else.

Is there something I am doing wrong or does HD only look better from a digital output or something??
