Heyya!

I've been thinking about buying a high quality dvdburner(Dont know what brand to look for yeat though)
and was looking for some good high quality dvd- media to burn things that i could save and use for years.

Since i'm a total newbie when it comes to dvdburning and media quality on the dvd- i was thinking about
ask for help from people that know what they are talking about.
And thats when you guys & girls come in. =)

What media do you recommend to buy that is really high quality?

I use Verbatim +R made in Japan ordered online from:
http://svp.co.uk/ if your in the UK.

So far as burners go I use an external LG, but most people seem to go for LiteOn...

Yep!I too use TY verbs but i must admit that it's almost only available in the UK(but i managed to got my stock elsewhere in Asia). If you're looking for the best ones and can't get TY verbs(Verbatim media getting TY to manufacture their discs),you can go for TY or verbatim, these are top notch medias concerning quality and durability. To make sure your burned discs last as long as possible, you should store them in a safe place, free from scratches, direct sunlight(to be kept preferably in a darker place)and hot temperature.

As for burners, you can go with Benq, preferably the 1650/55 ones but i'm afraid these are getting scarce today, but if you're lucky to see one on a shelf at a reasonable price, grab it ASAP!If not Lite-on,Lg are also good burners. But if your budget allows you, then you can get a plextor drive(premium series),the 760A for example, plextor drives are considered to be the best ones but they are more expensive.
