what lead would i need to connect my laptop to a lcd monitor so that what is displayed on my laptop is displayed on the monitor ..thanks

Well first off does the monitor have a DVI, AGP, HDMI in connectors? or better yet what kind of monitor. Secondly connect it what ever way possible and then right click on your desktop and go to your videocard settings and configure it to go to the LCD.
