Hi i am new to this area of the forum and i need some help looking for a product . I am looking for a hand held device to browse the internet anywhere anytime. I am not looking for phones that can do that like Sidekicks III or blackberry i am just looking for a hand held device that can do that anywhere anytime with no need of a router or having to be in a Starbucks or something . Price range around 200-300$ thanks

Some phone/internet carriers are now selling wifi modems for just that. They are pcmcia I think, but can be used with ipaq, etc anywhere their signal goes.

I did not like this as you had to buy the modem and pay the monthly fee. But I think it is the only way. Unless you have city wide wi fi.
