Meritline has 20-packs of Verbatim DVD+R DL at $38.99 with free shipping. Just ordered some today. Not a great price, but not too shabby either considering there are no decent sales on Verbs right now.

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

Futureshop had Verbatim 16x 100pack last week for $19.99 (snagged 2 packs of the +R)and now has Verbatim +R DL 20pack for $24.99 (also grabbed two)this week. Both seem to be on sale at those prices about once every 2 months. Keep an eye out and you'll get lucky.

Does Future Shop ever offer free shipping?

YES, while BestBuy Canada (a subsiduary) does not. I have ordered media from Future Shop, and it's alway been free shipping. However, I speak for Canadian addresses, they do not ship internationally.

What's sold out and where? If it's Future Shop, they have a check instore availability. You can look at the stock of stores near you, print off and get a price match at another store ie. Staples, Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart.

Or...if you're able, go instore and ask for a raincheck.

They meant "Which store is sold out of what, exactly?".

Also, remind me what typing in all caps in a post(title) means to the people of afterdawn, and why they don't like it.

As I thought, it stands for yelling and whatever. *smiles* Just making sure afterdawn doesn't like yelling.

*goes back to playing stepmania*

I went to CompUSA yesterday and found 1 MIJ Sony DVD+R spindle out of about 20 MIT's. They PM'ed, so at $12.99/50 I'm happy. I noticed that the last two Sony spindles I bought were also MIJ's (lucky) so with those and the 200 Verbatim DVD+R @ $7.98/50 (OM exchanged the -R's for +R's), I'm set for a while. It's time to go back into the woodwork and not press the luck.

Jallan- The all caps thing is - in online communications - Instant& or personal messaging , Chatting/chatrooms , or posting to a website or user group/ online community Like Afterdawn.com It is considered The same as shouting !!!!!! and that's considered rude !Hence we don't do things like that on purpose ! everyone has made mistakes on occasion & that is understandable but common courtesy & respect is the best way to get along here or anywhere ! Hope this answers your question Jallan ? good luck & happy burning my friend !
