Bill gate shas said that the Wii is the toughest comp that they have ever faced and that he is suprised its not sony,He also said it will be though because the Ds has had major succes and now The Wii will be the same sucess story he said.

Bill Gates, although still considered a thieve in my book (paying fifty dollars for a program that you had already sold for thousands, is to me considered theft), is a man of creativity and innovations.
The surprise he has for Nintendo and their current systems (DS, and Wii) is that he had not thought of it or paid someone to think about the ideas behind those systems before Nintendo. I am happy that Microsoft has chosen Nintendo as its competiter, but Nintendo was not looking for one in this generation.

It's cool seeing Bill Gates scared of Nintendo. I mean, Nintendo isn't about Graphics, but Gameplay, and it's really cool seeing that Bill Gates is having trouble with Nintendo. That will be the day, when Nitendo sends Microsoft down the Drain...

Good for Nintendo and the Wii. It's nice to see a company succeed that sticks to it's own ideas regardless of what the competition is doing.

Well I find what the Wii and 360 can do in media is all I need I mean what the Wii has thats all I want Videos,Mp3's and Jpegs what else do you want of something that is 400au/250us and has the madest controler.
Sony Just makes reasons they can never admit they have gone from being the best video game company with the Psone and Ps2 to Ps3 whihc just wrecked sony's image I mean Im getting one and all but its because of games like the F1 games and Grant Turismo n GTA but if all those tittles came to the Wii i wouldnt i dont care about Blu-ray whats all the Hype its a disc whihc does 1080p I dont mind with 480p its an Image man 10 years ago we were happy with 480p when DVD's came out.

look chris u seem 2 be one of those sony fan boys
if you tune your brain in you will notice the price tag on sonys ps3
now look at the price tag on the wii and the xbox360 see the differince
thats how sony messed up the ps3 i been using sony from ps1 to psp ive got all 3 (ps1 ps2 psp) when i heard sony were going to realese a ps3 i was happy then more news started coming out about its development. I have a look at the the specs and im thinking what is this some high tech computer?!?! i must admit i was still planning on getting one then i heard the news about the price its not like a cant aford it but im not paying 400-500 for a ps3
i am now a proud owner of a wii and i am planning on buying an xbox 360 aswell!! :)

Well it dosent really change alot and if you dont have a HD tv well then it dosent change anything at all but even at the maxumin it dosent change the whole experience the Whole experience Id say is 480p with a home theatre what more would you want I think 1080p is better but its just for the sake of it I mean most people still use 480i and they dont mind neither would I im not a all fancy type of person something makesa me think that you dont have a 1080p Tv and might not have a home theatre do you?
Oh yes ps3 has like no chance in this Gen in teh Us ive heard people trading ps3's for other consoles and some collecting dust on shelves while there is no Wii's in stock now dosent teh Wii have 480p and 1080p I think if it gave you a whole new experience wouldnt it be the wii being traded and collecting dust? I guess 1080p didnt change anything and will take 3 years to become fully in fashion.

I dont think Bill Gates should be worried about the Wii. Ive owned a wii and found it mediocre. i dont understand where this talk of 'hardcore gamer' that loves gameplay comes from.
the first console i owened i was 3 and my mum bought me the 2600 (atari). so ive been a hardcore gamer for 21 yrs now (24 yrs old). and i gotta say, wii sucks balls. very ordinary system. the only thing worthwhile playing on it was wii sports, (never liked zelda, and never played a zelda game on any nintendo ive owned, nes, snes, gameboy, n64, gamecube) and then wii sports lost its appeal after about 30mins.
Maybe future games like mario will be ok, but i dont have any love left for mario. mariokart was the best on snes, ever since then i hated it. But nintendo burnt all its 3rd party support during the snes years, i dont know what kinda games ppl are expecting to come out on wii, that r good besides 1st party titles.
i owned the wii for a week b4 selling it and buying some x360 games, the 3 (marvel, just cause and GRAW) ive had more fun with already.
sorry, i used to love nintendo, i supported the n64 when i shoulf of bough ps1, i bought xbox, became a nintendo fence sitter, now, im anti nintendo.

of course ive played mario on n64 and sunshine on gamecube. How many games were on n64 when it was released? 2, mario 64 and pilotwings as far as i remember. then i bought the double tragedy mortal kombat something something, the last 2d fighter of the series, with about 20 subzero ninjas all different colours like randoms called 'Rain' and the other game being Killer Instinct gold, which as far as i remember didnt even have fatalities! double cr@pola games. Then i rented goldeneye, which was unbelievable for the time, looked heaps better than duke nukem 3d. And then blast corps. which is one of my favourite games of all time.
But why did wii bail out of the power race? they just went cheap. i mean, since when has new controls been the benchmark for new generation? i seem to remember playing my first pc game on the keyboard, and low and behold i still use a keyboard now. worthless arguement imo.

Well it sort of is a new generation in power and Controls do you know why in power,
Because the wii is more power full then any 6th gen console and that by its self makes it 7th gen also on side note the wii is more powerfull than you think it has 32 shader pipelines 16 less then the 360,it does 500million triangles per second roughly where teh 360 is,it is able to handle 50billion shader operations about 360's ability,It clocks at 905mhz thats 200mhz more then the xbox but you also have to think that this is a custom made cpu while the original xbox was just a cleeron with faster L2 whihc makes iut slower then what the mhz say,24mb 1T-sram whihc has a latency less then DDR-Ram making it as fast as having 64mb DDR ram,64mb DDR3 ram,The wii brings a new controler whihc is uses the latest technology.

You also cannot say that I am a nerd since I do alot of more non computer stuff then you do some stuff you could only dream of.
I also Have a big chance of becoming a racing driver and I dotn think they are nerds+ even if I am and you are saying your not that just means you are one of those try hard people that stay on teh dole?

about the playstation 3 price (and dont get me wrong i own a xbox 360 and am planning on getting a wii) it def is really expensive but seeing as it has a built in bluray disc player (which by itself retails for $1000+) it is worth it. if i ever hit the lotary i will be buying one lol
