ilo mp3 player problems

Have a 1g ilo mp3 player. In adding new songs, came up was

Leave 3mb of space for system usage

So thru windows media player, deleted play list and did a sync again
Still comes up the same.

All cable hooked up right. Did off and on restart of everything no success. Can not even access menu on ilo cause the saying above comes up then system shuts down.
Any help? Thanks
