utorrent freezes my computer

Hi, i would like some help. I use utorrent to download movies and tv shows. After it has been running for more than two to six hours it will totally freez up my computer (Windows xp home, SP2) i need to actually press the reset button on my computer (cant even move the mouse). I have used Bittorrent and had similar problems, i switche to utorrent for the faster download speeds. This is a really anoying problem and i would like to fix it. I am 95% sure that there are no viruses or spyware or adwear on my computer. I download one torrent at a time

That the Utorrent program trying to tell you that it is illegal to download movies and TV shows.
