Lately, I have been encountering this weird problem. According to all the reading that I've done, I should set the size limit to 4475 when I'm using DVD2ONE. Everything is working well at the stage. The movie size is down to about 4.36 GB. When I use Nero Express to burn, I always get burning failed at the very end (cannot finalize or something). But this is after it's completed 100%. I took the same 4.36 movie and burn it with COPYTODVD, and all was good. No problem. Now my question to all who use Nero Express, what size do you limit your movie to with DVD2ONE ?
Thanks

I've stated this in the Afterdawn Forum often enough but guess you havent seen any other threads on this matter...
Stop using Nero Express & try Nero Burning Rom/Enterprise Edition
If your filesize is 4472mb as is the set standard in DVD2One then you will be asked to finalize at the beginning cos there is limited room.
But if you set DVD2One to 4300mb for instance Nero will ask you if you want to burn 'Without Multi-Session' [which'll be the middle option of three & you would hit that option]
Peace

Nero Express is a pile of crap. Nero Burning Rom isnt much better for DVD's, but does work. Nero should be used for CD's only and Record Now should be sued for DVD's. Aint that right Herbster?

"sued" ??? mmm, I hope that was a typo :)
Ok, I will look into Recordnow Max then.
The only reason I'm using Nero Express is that it's free. It came with the computer that I bought. :)
Thanks

Oriphus, Herbsman
I decided to use Nero Burning Rom 5.5.10.42
Everything was working ok by following Oriphus guide except I got this error at the very end saying something about "Disc-At-Once" What gives ? I tested the disc, and it was playing fine. Was my disc complete ? I was following the guide and the option was greyed out. I compressed the movie using DVD2ONE(again). I set the project size limit to 4470. I checked the VIDEO_TS folder that all the files were compressed to. And the whole folder was only 4.36GB How come everything burns fine with COPYTODVD ? I know..so many questions..lol But thanks for all the gurus out there.
PS. Oriphus seems to like Recordnow a lot :) Can you give me some adv and disadv of this product ? I might be able to find version 4.0 for less than 10 bucks, then I will upgrade to 4.5 for free hehe :)

RecordNow Max WAS made by veritas.
In my opinion, the difference between RecordNow Max and Nero is: in RecordNow Max, you have to burn from a TS_VIDEO folder. In Nero, you can burn from any folder. In any way, I use both alternately, depends on my mood. Both excellent burning programs.

Cheeez we know it was. The joke was about the useless crap called Prassi Primo.
I just find Record Now Deluxe a far better utility for burning DVD's. I have never had a problem with it ever. THe error you get in Nero happens all the time with me. Not to worry though as the disc is usually fine anyway. I didnt want to take the risk so i moved to record now.
