A lot of people have been experiencing problems with CPOR roms on their M3, R4, etc. Has anyone gotten their Portrait of Ruin rom to run correctly and completely and if not, has anyone found a workaround? Could this simply be a bunk rom issue or are there legitimate underlying issues regarding the rom that people have discovered. If it is a bunk rom issue, then perhaps collectively we can find a workaround or even identify which is a "good" rom title and which are "bad" rom titles.

I'm currently about 1/4 way through and other than saves seeming to take slightly longer to save compared to my original cart I have had no problems.

Was yours [NDS] 0736 Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin (U)- by Xenophobia? This seems to be a clean dump whereas a similar file, [NDS] 0735 Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin (U)- by Zonads seems to be bunk. Anyone else have any input? At least we can narrow down the file giving problems for anyone looking at that rom in the future. Thanks Mr_Hanky

Exact filename of the .ZIP is '0736_-_castlevania_-_portrait_of_ruin_usaxenophobia96df4c4d.zip'

I obtained several Portrait of Ruin roms and the one that seemed the cleanest has a very similar (although not exact) file name that you listed. I'm going to assume that this is the best copy of the file and for the reference of others, it was relatively easy to obtain at a rather popular rom location. Thats all I can really say about how to find it. Thanks Hanky. Seems like problem is solved.

POR has known problems with original carts, I beat the game it would only freeze when I would duck and press start at same time with enemy on screen.
