Problem with "Make Your Own DVD Movie" function

I'm a fairly experienced Nero user. I'm trying to import some home
movies, MPEG format, into the Make Your Own DVD Movie program.

When I begin to import the files, after about 4 or 5 the window disappears, and when I attempt to bring it back up it says the program is already running, but it's not in the tool tray.

When I reboot and repeat the process I get the same results.

Anyone ever had this problem?
