has any one here had the wii shop channel freeze when loading well i have a solution for netgear router owners and i have no idea if this will work for other routers but here it is
my netgear router supports wireless device intergration so that you can take and place the mac address of every wireless device on your network into your router so that the wireless only connects to the devices in the add wireless devices option the great thing is not only does this prevent people from stealing internet connectivity from you but makes the wii connect better to the internet as well
all you need to do
1. login to the netgear router (this may work on other devices)
2.select add wireless devices in the wireless section of the router setup
3.now turn on the wii
4.go into settings
5.select internet
6.select console information
7.write down the mac address leaving the minus signs out
8.then imput the mac address into the router
9. now call the device on the router wii or something simple
10. now go into your settings for your wireless making sure you applied the settings for wireless devices
11.now changes the signal to 10 or even 11 i have found the higher the channel the better the wii beta webbrowser connects and even the shop channel works better
12. and last but not least
change the ssid for example wiiconnect24em (em= my middle initial and my last name)
once this is done you will need to change the connection point in the wii settings after that the wii connects without any issues
now thw reason i said this may work on other routers is because i have no idea if other routers support the selective connection via mac address like the netgear routers do
so i have no idea
