Reoccuring problem with audio /TMPGEnc

hmmm....My audio output keeps going out of sync for apprx. the 1st 5minutes after I convert AVI to MPEG.

One file I used virtualDub to decompress the audio and after I 'cut' the movie in half with TMPGEnc the 1st half was fine but the 2nd half was out of sync with the picture.

On another file I didnt have to decompress the audio and the 1st few minutes of the movies is out of sync but it seems to catch up by itself?

The AVI files are fine, it only happens after running it thruogh TMPGEnc.
Also it seems to get slightly worse once I burn it to a VCD???

I have only burned 3movies so far, so this is all very new to me. The 1st movie I burned came out perfect but the 2nd and 3rd are giving me problems?
