ripping a DVD -- AVI/MPEG4

I am trying to figure out how to rip a DVD to an AVI or mpeg4 file w/out the scene selection and all that nonsense, just the movie basically. If I use DVD Shrink and just click main movie, will this work, anyone have any experience w/ this type of ordeal? Thanx in advance

1. Copy that dvd to your hdd
2. Use AutoGK to convert those dvd-files to .avi file.

1. DVDDecrypter -> gets you just the movie no menus
2. jMENc -> VOB to AVI
