i had someone load grey's anatomy series into my ipod video 30GB. all season 1 and 2 which occupies 6+GB (34 episodes of 40+mins each) is in my ipod. The ipod music library is empty. i dont know what he did to my ipod, but when i connect it to itunes and i try to update my ipod, nothing happens. what is wrong?

Well, whenever you buy something from the iTunes store and
try to share it with someone else that has iTunes.. it will
ask for the original user's apple id & password.
This is obviously to prevent illegal sharing.

So try to get your friend's user information.

If your iPod is actually messed up, you may have to
Restore it. Restoring is pretty easy, as long as
you have the latest iPod software update, you
basically just have to open iTunes (with your
iPod plugged in) and select your iPod.. then Restore.

Did he rip them from dvds or did he purchase them from itunes?

I'm not sure, if they were rips they would have
to be in ".mp4" format anyways.

hi everybody, i dont know what happened why manual updating wouldnt work. but when i set it to automatic update, it worked. thanks guys!
