Hello,
I was wondering if I can still play games on PS2 online even if the games are copied and put in with Swap Magic... also I heard a rumor that Sony is not doing PS2 online, that they are now switching into only PS3... is this true. If not, then where do you suggest that I get a Network Adapter? Thanks for readin
3. Launch WinDIP and select the game image you plan on patching.
4. Scan and verify the image.
5. If it's unpatched, use the DNAS ID you looked up. Make sure that you get the right ID, or else you will not be able to play online with the back-up. Also, make sure you get the ID that matches the game's region, since the NTSC and PAL IDs are not the same. The ID should be something like XX XX 01 30 EC. The XX represents any hex value between 00 and FF that you choose. So something like 0A FE 01 30 EC would be fine. For future reference, as long as you replace the X with anything between A-F or 0-9, you'll be ok.
6. Hit the patch button. Once it's done, hit verify and make sure that it says the image is patched with the DNAS you punched in. If it's correct, then you're good to go.
7. Burn and play!
As for where you can get a network adapter, just try some local game stores and see if they have any new/used. If not, try Amazon. If you're not in the US, I'm not sure what website you should try.
this is a fairly old thread, but i just was looking over it and realized that I had a retard moment and didnt realize the disc image was the mds file...my bad :)
