Yo, i was at a lan party tonight and this kid wanted me to mod his xbox and i was like ok sure. he called his mom and told her to bring it (he initially only brought his 360). he gave it to me and i hooked it up. on the first boot before i even started modding it i got error 7. ive read the horror stories of error code 7 and i was wanting to see if someone could help me.

Error Code 07 - HDD Timeout

i took it apart and reconnected the cables and still got 7. it was also making some extremely weird sounds. im trying to help him fix it because hes not very literate in xbox.

it was never modded or even opened before today.

So plz help me help this kid!!!
