gapless playback information?

why is it every time i plug in my ipod, in the display bar, it always says, "determining gapless playback information", and then it does this for each song on my ipod one by one. It does this every time I plug it in now that I have iTunes 7. How do I get rid of this so it odesn't do this anymore?
