I've been successfully burning CD-R's with CD Text using a Memorex DVD burner and the OEM version of Nero (v6.6.0.18). I'm using TDK 52X CD-R's but I burn them at the minimum speed of 8x with data verification. They always verify OK.

About half the time when I put the CD into my Sony 400CD changer, the CD Text for the cd title and/or track names is displayed with some of the characters garbled. Sometimes if I force the Sony changer to reload the CD (which causes it to re-read the CD text) the text can come up correct or even garbled but different errors than the previous time.

The CDs play fine though.

Is this more likely to be an issue with the Sony changer since the CD verified OK when burned? Or maybe the Memorex burner is better at error correction and is producing CD's that have too many errors for the Sony changer?

Since the text can come up garbled in different ways when re-reading the same CD, I guess that definitely says the Sond changer is having a hard time reading and its error correction isn't good enough?

PS: I know the TDK CDs aren't the best and I can't successfully burn at a rate over 8X but 8X is the minimum choice that Nero gives me. I have some FUJI CD-Rs made by Taiyo-Uden and I can burn those successfully at higher rates.
