This is really poor quality media. Use the good stuff: Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, and Made in Japan labeled Fuji and Sony.

Not a particularly good version of Nero. Version 6.6.0.18 is the best version of Nero 6. If your version is upgradeable, uninstall it, run the Nero 6 Clean Tool and install version 6.6.0.18 from the two links below.

http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Are you burning an image file? Try using ImgBurn instead of Nero.

You might also try some +R media.

I think media quality is the primary issue that needs to be addressed immediately.

The Imgburn error is essentially the same as the Nero error -- the burner doesn't like the media. The most likely causes are bad media, out of date burner firmware, faulty hardware, or some more obscure problem. Your burner firmware appears up to date so we're left with bad media and faulty hardware. Bad media is easier to rule in/out than faulty hardware and is also more likely so that's where you need to proceed next. Get some good quality -R or +R media. Since you're having trouble here with the -R, get some good quality +R and try that. I usually only use +R myself. NEC burners usually like Verbatim media and it's easy to find.
