Hi ya'll. My name is Ethan. I play in a band from Waynesville, Missouri called Shattered.
We're a Progressive/Metal/Hardcore/Screamo/Southern-Metal/Christian band. We are currently looking for a screamer.
Here's what we are looking for :
Shattered, as of right now, is on a little break. For more info on why we took a break, look at one of our blogs on our Myspace page @ www.myspace.com/shatteredmuzik .
So we're on break right now. We're rewriting, editing, and writing new stuff. But we are still looking for a screamer. We would like to start playing again this summer. So we're praying that we can find one soon enough.
Here's what we're looking for in a screamer:
1. Born-again Christian who wants to play for the sole purpose of spreading the message of God and loves Jesus with all their heart. We aren't some Bible thumping band. We're not gonna stand up on stage and preach. But we will let our audience know that we play for Jesus. We want to draw a crowd that has been pushed away from Christianity, by using an approach that isn't scary nor agressive. We jsut want our audience, Christian and non to enjoy the show most of all!!
2. Needs to be in high school age. Preferably 16 - 17.
3. Needs to have same general taste in music as us. Genres such as " Hardcore / Post-hardcore / Metal / Metalcore/ Screamo / Emocore / Indie / Alternative / Hard Rock / Rock...etc." Some big bands we're into are " Here I come falling, Norma Jean, The Chariot, Chiodos, As I Lay Dying, Copeland, Dead Poetic, Demon Hunter, The Devil Wears Prada, Emery, Fireflight, First To Last, Haste The Day, He Is Legend, Inhale Exhale, Last Winter, Mae, Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, Cartel, RED, Saosin, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Showdown, Showbread,Sinia Beach, Skillet, Thrice, Story of the Year, Underoath, Zao...etc..stuff in those genres mostly.
4. Need to be able to practice a good bit. Especially this summer. We're wanting *ATLEAST about 2-3 practices a week this summer. Need to be able to get to practices and shows. Again we are pushing for atleast the age of 16, or soon turning 16.
5. Need a very good range. From high end screams to low end growls. We don't expect anyone to be able to hit really high notes or low growls right away. Even if you can't hit the extremes...practice makes perfect right ;). Try out and show us your stuff. Again, we don't expect someone to show up and be amazing. But if you're decent, and we can tell that with practice you'll be really good, that'll get you kudos. But if you're already really good, then YAY! :) Haha *ALSO!!!!!!!!!!* If you can sing well that is very good too. Not needed, but would rock!
6. Must be able to become great friends, not just another "band mate." Being part of a band has it's ups and downs, but in the end we must all remember that we're brothers and must stay that way!
7. Need's to live pretty close. Preferably in the: Ft. Leonard Wood/Waynesville/St. Robert/Dixon/Rolla/Crocker area. Close enough to make practices within no more than a 20-30 minute drive.

*What you hear on there is not what we want to sound like. That was a live show, our first, and only show, we had barely rehearsed, and had no screamer. And the recording sucks. And we've rewritten those songs, and are writing new and better stuff*
