ok everyone has been wondering about the lightup button mod well not only do i know how to do it im hear to share it with you unlike some people on youtube i decided the world needs to know how to do this

ok this is a simple mod and the only thing you need is

1. 1-led

2. bit driver to disasemble wii remote

3. soldering iron

4. solder

5. a steady hand

here is how to do the mod

1. dissasemble the wii remote all screws are located under the wii remotes battery cover

2. pop the wii remotes cover off

3. remember where the a button is at on the board of the wii remote no need to pop the bottem cover off on the remote just the top

4.take a look at the wii remotes circuity

5.look for a small piece soldered on at point c31 it is labled on the board look close

6.you will find c31 right below the a button for the remote

7.now place a piece of electricle tape right next to the small piece on c31 you will notice that you need the tape or the lightt will come in contact with points c3 c37 r15 which is not good

8.take both sides of the led and solder each connection to the ends of the piece on c31

once finished turn on the wii remote before reasembly you will notice the light should come on and turn off once finished remove one tab off of the a button the tab must be the tab closest to the a button where you installed the led once finished cut the rubber connector for the led location and place back together and you are done

the perpose of this mod was to light up the a button on the wii remote and worse the first person to do this was a moron

because the catch that they dont tell you is the led causes the tilt censor to malfunction and what sucks is i found this out after smoking a wii remote so dont listen to me on this one untill the moron on youtube watches his go up in smoke and fixes the stupid instructions

i may get banned for saying this but some mods just suck and morons need to check out there mod complety untill they post it on some sights

Well there you go. You pay $250 US to get a Wii, then go trying to modify something that works fine the way it is.

I just don't get it. The benefits sure don't outweigh the risks.

Be careful out there, people!

Carbon 14, the reason people do these things is so that they have a unique console to everyone else, or for better performance. my friend and i build computers. i do it as a hobby, he does it for a living in his shop, so he knows about parts. he has fitted a unique fan in his v12 which is 3X better than the original fan, and he has put led's onto the fan. hes also brought a clear see through case for the ps2, and drilled holds precisly where the fan is, to allow better cooling. and ive drilled several small holes for him on the bottom, in perfect lines to keep the ps2 looking good, while letting it stay cool. and on top of all that, hes put it on top of a laptop cooling pad! but he did not do this to show off, it was simply to keep the ps2 running cool, but since we were cracking it open anyway, we thought we might as well mod the case a bit too.

So are your instructions a set of good ones that won't ruin a good Wiimote? Or are you just as bad as the guy that you borrowed this from by posting bad info.
