I was wondering why everyone was so gun-ho about removing all the possible extras from a disc before burning it onto a back-up. Having looked through most of my library I've noticed that subtitles and menus, generally speaking, only take up about 30-50 MB of a disc... to me it's hardly worth it to take out the extra features.

Granded stupid extras like...Charachter bios and directors comments are completely useless, and there are some extras that take up huge amounts of space, I just don't see why everyone is so against the menus. They can be useful for chapter selection after all.

Of course there is no problem with menus and I don';t see that many people fussing although deleting other extras is a matter of choice. If you use DVD Shrink you can pick and choose what to leave in/out.

Because some menus are 150MB and more. I get rid of them because it saves me a bit of compression and a lot of time when playing back. Why sit and wait 1min for a DVD to start when you can have it set to start straight away??
