Well i have been thinking several hackers where able to make there own memory card adapters for the psp so why cant someone figure out a way to build a usb to sd adapter so we can connect external hard drives to the wii though the sd slot im not looking for speed or how fast it will work im looking for music storage and connecting a ipod to the unit because the ipod stores all mp3 files in one directory on the ipod


so why hasn't anyone created a adapter

it would even benefit gamecube owners as well

I would think that someone would be working on something like that, and is probably keeping it under wraps. Some people are just Greedy and don't like to share their ideas with others!

true i found out the light up button mod that some guy was showing off on youtube is not working as well as people would think it messes with the tilt sensor

ok what the light mod does it lights up the a button on the wii remote when the remote is on
it also works on the classic controller or so they say to light up the a and b button but the problem i found that i think not even the mods creator even relises is that the mod tells people to connect the led to the c31 point located below the a button on the wii remote and the same on the classic controller but what they dont tell you is it messes with the tilt sensor
really bad i smoked a wiiremote trying the mod

so im waiting to see the creator of this mod try using the tilt cesor and having it not function

The Wii does not have Tilt Sensors The Wii has an Accelerometer,IR and an 1megapixel IR sensing device.The accelorometer can implament for the Tilt as the accelerometer finds out in what direction and at what speed the Mote has gone at so now you know what it does.
This is called a Three-Axis system while a tilt sensor system is a Six-Axis system the 3 axis has far more options then the 6-axis so ive started explaingin ill finnish it the 1mp Ir sensor is userd to sense IR but is built to find the exact location of the IR lights on the sensor bar (Or anything else u are using but Niontendo Intended it for this) then the IR port connects to it according to teh IR Sensor (Whihc is simply a camera like thingy only made for IR) it pinpoints on screen.
The light up button mod is stupid I mean why do you want the A and power button to glow anyways?

Ya, I think that I'll wait a while before I start modding my Wii. It's just if I screw up with something, I can't get it replaced, because it is sold out everywhere still...

Datel (company that makes the Action Replay Max for PS2 & DS/GBA) is working on a few projects for the Wii. but it will prob be months before a commercial product is ready to ship & maybe weeks before they'd let anyone know of what they are doing. I would like to see someone make a homebrew program that turns a Wii into an all-in-one media center. Loading mp3s through there & perhaps a xfer of files through the online service would be awesome. Like a mini PC without a keyboard.
