I have a matrix chip installed works great it is flashed with 2.5blue i am using evox software...no problem...i have upgraded my hard drive to a 120gb 8mb cache maxtor hard drive everytime i try to install software it says my xbox needs service i have used xboxprepar to zero sectors nothing works same message do i need to flash a new bios and if so which? please help...thank you

try the evoxD6ef bios or the new xecuter bios. if you get the newest slayers disc (2.1) both of these bios' are included.

Do you think it's the bios i am using? i removed all sectors to zero do i need to install evox to the new hard drive while it's hooked up to my computer or do you think it's something else other than software bios?

no, you can do it with the drive in your xbox. slayers will do it all for you.

i was wondering should you be able to just put a empty hard drive directly in the xbox and it should work with a mod chip installed? I have been trying to upgrade to a 120gb 8mb cache ata/133 hard drive and everytime it tells me xbox needs to be serviced...i have removed 1st 4097 sectors to zero and then i did entire hard drive, what would be my next step to do? does the hard drive need to have some software or something on it to work? Please help..i'm stuck

you should be able to run slayers and it will set up the drive for you. it's telling you it needs serviced because it has no dashboard to load.

do i run slayers in the xbox or on my pc and save to the hard drive....i have evolution x cd but it doesn't pick that up when i start up the xbox.....is that the same as a slayers cd? Do i need slayers to finish my process?

well you gotta run slayers from the xbox. you might want to flash your matrix with the newer bios and see if that helps. if not, check seamonkey's site for more help, he is a wiz at doing all this manually.

so is the evolution cd what you refer to as slayers cd? my matrix has 2.5 blue flashed on it..do you have any recommendations as far as what to flash on there to be up to date? thanks for your help

slayers is an auto installer that will format your drive, prepar a larger hardrive, install appz, install evolutionX, etc ,etc. evolutionX disc just lets you put the dashboard on your machine. slayers does that and lots more. i'd run the D6 eject fix bios, or the new xecuter bios. both are included wit hthe slayers disc as well as trhe newest evolutionX

is this a download program or do i purchase the cd and where? so all i need to get started is on this disc? so just insert disc and prepare hard drive....and i do all this in xbox not on the pc

To get the latest Version of the Installer follow these instructions:
* IRC Software: Get your free MIRC Client from here: http://www.mirc.co.uk/get.html and choose the link closest to you. or get excursion from excursion.cjb.net
* IRC Server = snoop.burghcom.com ( IRC Server Join Command = /server snoop.burghcom.com )
* IRC Channel = #SlaYerS ( IRC Channel Join Command = /join #SlaYerS )
The channel BOT, called "Bitch" will automatically send you what you need if you issue these simple commands:
!help - tells you how to configure mirc to allow you to get files from this channel! - DO this FIRST!!!!
!nfo - sends you both NFO files (open with Wordpad to read properly!)
!installer - sends you the installer in one 100MB file
!ip - info on fixing IP problems
!modchip - modchip info
!xbmp - bonus! get the latest Xbox Media Player
