Hi, I'm hoping some one can give me some advice on buying a new laptop. I have a max of £450 to spend and i'm thinking about the Axis Max 15.4" Range from novatech. however they don't do reviews and there own forum has nothing about these on it.i hope someone out there can help as i don't want to buy one to find it's rubbish.if anyone can suggest better then please do.

That depends on what you define "rubbish" as and what you are looking for in your laptop. Are there any certain features you are lookign for? More info would be nice ;-)

10/100 LAN & 54G Wireless LAN

i want to use it for mainly watching and burning dvds when away from home but it must also be able to go on line and sometimes play battlefield 1942.With the odd bit of office work.

If the laptop you are looking at is that specs for £450 then I'd go for that one. You'll be hard pushed finding something that good for that money...
