so i just recently succesfully installed 3.03 OE-C, and now i have some user questions.

The folders are different so i am confused. There is your normal PSP folder with the usual stuff in it, so why the additional folders for "PICTURES" "VIDEOS" etc....

the ISO folder is self explanatory

But inside the PSP folder is where it gets trippy. There is still a music and photo folder, so whats the difference here?

and also the GAME150, and GAME303 folders....whats its use? I guess what im asking is where do my homebrew folders (SNES, NesterJ, DGEN) go?

thanks much everyone for getting me here, and your continued help!

Music and such still go in their respective folders. As for the GAME150/GAME303, the GAME150 is for your homebrew and such. The GAME303 folder will not likely get much use, as I haven't used it yet. All of the files I use end up in the GAME150 folder.

2.71 -> 1.50 -> 3.02 OE-A -> 3.02 OE-B -> 3.03 OE-C

TBH it depends on what kernel u plan on using for loading homebrew. do you know if ur going to use 1.5 or 3.03 kernel?

well anything that is ran thru the psp is ran thru the kernel. Each firmware has its own kernel and its difference in way's of loading things. This not completely accurate BTW, just my own concise explanation. We wont get into details about the kernels but more then likely youll want to use the 1.5 kernel for homebrew purposes. If u read on how to access the configuration menu on boot u can figure out how to switch it (mine was 1.5 by default). From there u can stick all ur homebrew in the GAME folder and do away with the rest of the GAME folders. Well thats what I did for my uses of the psp.

Either insert a UMD game or reboot and get into recovery console and enable the NO-UMD option.

Yeah it can be loaded from GAME150 also. Do you have a UMD disc in or NO-UMD option enabled?
