DSl Losing connection..

Hey, I recenly got a new comp and plugged DSL modem into it and it got connectivity, but after not long period of time it stalls out and I have to repair it to keep it up. It plugged into the onboard cat5 slot. Would getting new drivers help? The motherboard is an ASUS. Any help ould be appreciated.

first step would defiantly check to see if you have the most up to date drivers for your network adapter, then if that doesn't work try contacting your isp to see if they have been having any problems in your area
