trying to burn wmv files

when trying to make a vcd using nero,it doesn't let me burn a wmv file,and TMPGEnc wont convert it.I really dont understand alot of this ,what do I need to do?

check it first to see do u have the appropriate codecs with GSpot !

Thanks for the reply,when I put it in to GSpot ,it says the file is asf[.wma/.wmv]unsupported file type. I really dont understand how g spot works. I know it tells you what codec you need,but nothing other than that .

Well that is the pount of GSpot , it just says what codec u need and if u dont have it then u wont be able to open or encode it usually!

O.k. If I dont I dont have it,how do I get it?
GSpot tells me which one I need,It says n.a. Do I get it from a codec bin? plz help

Usually u can find whatever codec u want with google!

If it's a wmv file it says N.A. most of the time.Everything on the right hand side says N.A. It says that the file is ASF,whatever that means.

yes,but I cant burn it.I have some codecs,I think these are just bad files.It doesn't tell me what codec I need.

it must be just cause they are asf so, not much i can say to help i dont know much about asf files!
