i noticed that was a highlight in the new wii mod but ihave no idea what it is. i dont even know if i should do it seeing as how i might mess up my wii. any1 know about this kinda stuff plz post

Instead of having to Solder one end of a wire to the chip, and soldering the other end somewhere else, you just place the chip in the certain area, and solder in the open area on the chip.

Here is an example, using the Xenium Chip for the Xbox:




Where it is circled in RED, that is where you put the solder, and you don't have to use wires and get tangled up in things!

Is it then generally pretty hard to mess something up when doing a "quicksolder" no wire method? I ask because I've never soldered anything before.

It really shouldn't be that hard to solder, because you don't have to use wires, and all you do is heat up those silver boxes with a Solder Iron, and put solder on it, and it should be good to go. In my opinion, I think of it as a solderless solution, just because it doesn't involve wiring.

If you are thinking about modding your Wii, and are thinking about what chip to get (either the Wiinja or CycloWiz), I would personally go with the CycloWiz. Not just because it uses "Quick Solder", but if the Wii comes out with a new Update, the Wiinja is basically useless.
