I'm in need of Verbatim DVD+R DL that are made in Japan. I've checked all of the local stores in my area (Twin Cities) but have never seen any that are made in Japan. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where I can buy some? Maybe someone here could sell me some?

Made in Japan Verb's can only be found in the UK and maybe some other places in Europe. Taiyo Yuden makes these -so they get the best of both worlds :) But last I read Taiyo wasn't big in the dual layer market.

But made in Taiwan Verbs which is very common is just as good. They're made by MCC or for dual layer MKM - Verbatim's parent company.

Your good w/ the made in Taiwan Verbatims.

Thinking you're in the States (Twin Cities) so you should have no problems finding the mit Verbatims.

I use them only for dual layer.

Make sure your drives firmware is up to date too.

I think the DL Verbs are made in Singapore.......... :o)

Verbatim DL media are made in Singapore. Verbatim regular DVD production is made in Taiwan. If the product says "made in Japan," it is probably manufactured by Taiyo Yuden.

I guess I'm a bit confused. I'm new here but I thought I read on here that the Verbs DL (Made In Japan) were the best quality and are required to backup 360 games.

No your fine buying Verb DVD no matter where they are made - Taiwan, Japan or Singapore. Though I do not think you will find any and maybe not even across the pond that are dual layer and made in Japan.

Beware of Verbatim that are made in India. Creaky will attest to that!!!! I don't think they made it over here yet.
