i have one of these machines but for some unknown reason the disk protection in the main menu has locked itself and there is nothing i can do to release it, i dont know if i'm doing anything wrong. i have read the instruction book back to front but there is no mention of this problem anywhere, has any-one got any idea on how to turn this disk protection off. my machine plays all dvd's mp3's and all other functions are fine but when i insert a dvd ram disk in to record to the machine just refers that the disk is protected. i would appreciate any replies to my mail address **removed** if anyone has a suggestion many thanks in advance Paul.
