I have a dvd that I ripped along time ago. I have it on a dvd that I burned it to. The problem Im having now is making a copy of it. I cant understand how I can rip something, have a copy that works perfectly and then cant make a copy. Can someone tell me what happened?/

Bad media.
Best to start over with the original.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

If there's a lot of errors on that backup copy or errors in the wrong spot, then you will have a tough time re-ripping it. All the following will make those little errors add up:

Too fast of burn speed
Crap media-use Ty or Verbatim.
Burning the outer edge of disc-Keep target below 4360 mbs.
Low quality burner-keep firmware up to date.

Try ripping it with DVD Decrypter using Mode ISO read. You'll have to change 2 of the default settings so open up dvd decrypter/tools/settings:

CSS tab- Tick Brute force
I/O Tab- tick ignore all read errors
OK and proceed ripping to the harddrive. Just remember where those files go.

If successful-then use either DVD Decrypter Mode ISO write or ImgBurn. Open either up-both are basically the same in the burning mode, locate mds files, open, set burn speed and burn away.

It's not a 100% success, but you may get lucky on ripping that older backup.
