Heya :P.
My Pc is running with a 7900GTX graphics card, 2Gb ram, Duo Core Athlon 4800+. Not sure what other specs I should place here, But i want to get the new GeForce 8800 GTX for the same pc If my Pc Runs the 7900 GTX card, Do i need to buy anything else to get the 8800 to work? Or all i need is just the graphics card and im Ready?

yea, all you need is the graphics card and like one free pcixpress x16 and another slot free for the dualslot cooling fan

no it should work fine but if you want to go sli with two 8800gtx nvidia recommends you get atleast 1000watt power supply and can you tell me your what brand and watts of your power supply

Well I cant go sly with a 7900GTX+8800GTX can I? If i can, damn! Suuure what not :D! But if not, I guess I will remove sadly the 7900 and keep the 8800GTX, Do i still need the coolling fan and stuff? By the way, where do I find the watts of my power supply? PSU isnt it? But where do i? Thanks Peeps :3

Well those specs don't really tell you much about the wattage...it should be on there. And to answer your other question, no, you can't SLI 2 different cards; they have to be the same. Otherwise, it sounds like your PSU would work fine with an 8800, although I don't know about the GTX.

Azrea1, edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP.

Actually ddp is right, you should probably stick with your old card for now. In March, the ATI R600 chip is coming out, and nVidia will have to lower its prices...you could save a whole bunch of money. But if your heart is set on the 8800, I think your PSU will handle it fine. My 8800 GTS needs a combined +12V amperage of 26, so your GTX may need somewhere in the range of 32-40. Your PSU can deliver 44 amps on the +12V lines so it should be fine...

Wops, hm So then It should be ok? awesome, But then I shall just wait until march and see what happends? alrighty then, aslong as i know that my psu can support it, i can wait. Thanks!

Yeah, plus I think 2 7900 GTX's would cost more than one 8800 GTX.
@Kikoshi-Good idea, waiting is the best in your case, you won't be mad when you see the savings.
