Now what I need to know is, are these discs good quality media. It says that it is made from Prodisc dye, so that sounds good to me, but I want to make sure that I'll be getting good media if I decide to buy these.
So can anyone recommend these, or should I stay away from them. I'll appreciate any help that anyone can give
Well, in general investing to good quality media pays off. By buying cheap you can save a few cents, but that is not worth the risk of failing recordings, or discs that fade away in time.
But if these discs really are Prodisc made, there is a chace that they are not that bad.
I'd avoid them. Prodisc is on the low side of the quality spectrum. The money you may be saving may cost you a lot of headaches later. The playback is where you'll notice the difference.
I bought discs off Ebay that were said to be Taiyo Yuden, said to code out as Ty.Checking with DVD Identifyer they did code out as Ty,but were FAKES. That engraving around the hub didn`t match up with Ty,didn`t last 6 months. I won`t ever buy discs off Ebay again.Stick with the well known sellers.
Prodisc can make decent discs, but it is not a sure shot as the quality varies. I have been testing and using a lot of their 16x +R media, which seems to be really A-grade and has always performed well.
But in this case, I would not go for the offer. Quality media is show cheap these days that the risk of getting bad ones is not worth it. Personally I have never had Dysan discs, so I don't know how do well do they maintain their quality.
