I am putting together a multi-chapter slide show for DVD. The audio for each chapter AND the audio to be played at the menu ALL cut off the first second or two. Where can I adjust this? Is this a known problem? Any suggestions?

Nero seems to have lots of trouble with slideshows, motion menus and sound clips.

What version of Nero do you have? Some versions are better than others.

I have Nero StartSmart 2.0 and Nero Vision 3.1 which is what I use to make the DVD slideshow. If it matters, I have Nero Burning ROM 6.6 and have no idea what to update if anything. I have made slideshows before I upgraded to XP SP2 and wonder if this may have had some effect. The slideshows I made before had no problem starting the music at the beginning without cutting off the first 1-2 seconds. I've looked everywhere to try to configure - to no avail. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what's causing your problem if it's worked before for you. Nero 6.6.0.18 is the best version of Nero 6. If you need to download it, use the 2 links below:

Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

I suppose it's possible some of the sound codecs are messed up.

Prior to your last reply, I decided to upgrade to see if possibly that might make a difference and it DID!! The sound doesn't cut off now. Thanks for the suggestion!
