Which does the bulk of the work when it comes to Video encoding/decoding and video editing?

So where should the bulk of your money go if you're building a new PC?

If you're not into games, what kind of video card would you buy today?

Video encoding is CPU intensive. Video editing relies more on your RAM and the video card GPU.

Get the best of all 3, that you can afford.
