wanna put my anime from my pc onto DVD-r

I have a bunch of episodes of anime that I would like to put onto DVD-r. I am sure I will only be able to fit about 3-4 episodes on one DVD, however my question is how do I do this? They are in video clip format and are very good quality. could some one either tell me how or point me to a tutorial on how to do this? Thanks in advance for any help given.

They will be .AVI I'd imagine
TMPGEnc Plus to re-encode .AVI to .mpeg2
TMPGEnc DVD Author - .mpeg2 to .VOB

Thanks guys I will try it. I don't know what format they are in, windows just says video clip. I will check back and let you all know my results.

Never mind I figured it out. Thanks alot guys!! I am a usual member in the ps2 forums and I am glad to see that the same helpfull standards that they keep in that forum are mirrored in here.

I got another problem now. There is no sound. I made a test DVD w/ one episode on it. The whole thing came out good, its just that there is no sound at all. What did I do wrong?

Do I have to decode the audio? I was reading a guide on here talking about putting a VCD onto a DVD and it said that you have to decode the audio or something. Is that true?

It may have to do with which codec pack you have or many other things...
I prefer to do DVD to DVD-R myself , takes a lot less time & is so much better quality.
So basically I s'pose I'm saying I'm no expert in AVI. encoding , hence I'd suggest asking same questions but in VCD/SVCD Forum

In the case of VCD to DVD the audio sampling frequency must be changed from 44Khz to 48Khz (DVD standard). However, this is not the case for you as you used TMPGEnc Plus, meaning the DVD template would ensure compatible audio.
The audio problem is probably because you have an NTSC DVD player that requires a DVD to have at least one AC3 track.
Reencode the audio for your tracks (or at least one of them) as AC3 via AC3 Machine (see download section), which is essentially a GUI for BeSweet, and you should have no trouble.

It could be that the sound on your AVI file has been De-multiplexed. Multiplex the sound in the menu of TMPGEnc

Use VirtualDub to extract the audio to a WAV first. Then in TMPGEnc plus use the AVI as the video input and the WAV as the audio input.
Make sure you set yourself a start and an end frame in TMPGEnc or you will get more than you want.
And put the audio volume up by about 400% in the audio settings.
This should make yo a nice MPEG with the sound at about the right level

I'll try some of these and see what happens. ALso I don't have a Divx codec on my computer I dont think. I uninstalled the Divx player I had a long time ago. Afetr running the AVI through TMPGEnc Plus to convert it to .mpeg2 format, I tried to play the file and there was no sound then either. ALso I put the DVD in my ps2 and on my PC and neither of them gave me sound.

If you originally started with a XviD .AVI file you will need the Koepi xvid codec...
