What's your guys' take on getting a mod right now or waiting for the next batch of chips? All I'm looking to do is play U.S. backups but really don't wanna deal with stealth issues and something thats difficult to upgrade when Nintendo upgrades firmwares?
The cylcowiz looks like it will be a pain in the arse to ugrade firmwares because I don't really want to deal with getting my own ON-OFF switch and then have to mount it and run a wire to it.
Would it be wiser to wait for the next generation of chips that are bound to be released in a month or so?....speaking of that how do you go about removing a mod chip from the board (i.e. I get the WiiKey and something else comes out and I want to get rid off it)...I'm clueless on this?

I dont know ofcourse future ones will be better but no one on these forums are saying if it works!.


IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT A CHIP DOES IT PLAY BACKUPS?!!!???

wait i killed my wii and had to purchase a new one

i want a firmware upgrade that wii users can stream from there own computers to the wii not a chip that all nintendo has to do is program the update to look for the information that is on the chip and disable it

worse they are saying the chip is stealth mode compatible with online games well how would they know if there aren't any anyone ever ask that question i bet you will gt a song and dance e-mail from the maker saying we have online games and tried it which is bull

Disclaimer : This is only my opinion....

I would wait! There seem to be a lot of questions about the cyclowiz chip. The biggest one being: Is it really upgradeable. I know the cyclowiz website says it is but I am hearing the the chip they are using is known not to be flash able or flash from a disc or something like that. Plus I am hoping that they come up with a better way to turn on the upgradeable part besides hanging an off/on switch outside my Wii. My thought is to buy/rent games for now and wait. The Wiinja seems to be overpriced from what I am hearing and the Wiikey is yet to come out.

Sooner or later they will work out the bugs and come up with a better design. It is not like we need these mod chips to play our Wiis.
