Yes. Fuji uses its own Oxonol dye which requires a bit more laser power than other dyes but appears to be very stable in environmental testing. The actual recording quality depends on the quality of the disc, the quality of the drive, the recording software and speed, and--most importantly--the compatibility of the drive and medium. If your drive has been set up to work the the Fuji dye, those discs should last a long time if cared for well.

It all depends on whether or not: 1) the drive firmware engineers have included that Fuji MID code in the firmware table of the drive in any firmware updates available; or 2) the dye works with the default settings if the MID code is not included. Since the dye requires more laser power, it is not likely to work in a default setting at rated speed but it might work at slower speeds because the power requirements drop at slower speeds.

Those who have drives that work with Fuji MID codes will say they are good quality. Those who have drives that do not work with them will say the quality is terrible. Neither group can actually test for quality--they are commenting on compatibility. The Fuji dye is quite good, but it depends on who is making the disc to determine the actual quality, and on the drive to determine whether the recordings are good quality recordings. There is nothing you can do to your drive but update the firmware and check a few discs to see if they work in your drive. If they work well (a scan is a reasonable but not necessarily accurate test), you can use them with some assurance that they will not degrade quickly over time.
