WinAVI Conversions - No Picture!

Hoping someone can lend me a hand. I'm converting AVI's (which are in proper working order pre-conversion) using WinAVI 7.7. I am using most default options with the exception of selecting NTSC output (opposed to PAL). When I burn them using an external cloning tool, the DVD will play, but with no picture. To make sure it was WinAVI and not the burning software I checked the files that WinAVI produced from the conversion. The DVD file also contained only sound and no picture. Because this all came from a single AVI which contained both, I'm stumped.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
