Buying online is difficult because most branded DVDs are not made by the same companies whose brand is on the final packaging.

Verbatim makes its own DVDs and they are of high quality compared to others and would be what I would recommend. They can also be purchased at many brick and mortar stores which is a big plus.

Sony makes its own DVDs as well as uses those made by Taiyo Yuden, a very high quality manufacturer. Unfortunately, the only way to tell what you're getting is to see the package in advance. The Taiyo Yuden disks will be labeled as made in Japan. The Sony-made disks will be labeled Made in Taiwan. While the Sony-made in Taiwan disks are good, they are not as good as the Sony-made in Japan disks.

Fuji disks labelled as Made in Japan will be very good as well as they are made by Taiyo Yuden as well.

Taiyo Yuden disks are available online at various sites. There are also counterfeit disks being sold, so be careful.

Yeah me too i would recommend Verbatim. And if you're in UK then you'll be able to get your hands on TY Verbatim(Verbatim medias made by Taiyo Yuden)that would be the best of the best, that's what i use and get only success with them. For the Verbs,if on the spindle it's written made in Japan, then these are TY ones,if there are from Taiwan then they will code out as MCC(Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation)which are still very good.

Here's a link which can help you out about finding some TY verbatim in UK,i don't know if there are still available because quite a lot of people rush on these babies and also our dearest Creaky(which i say Hello if he's reading this)use to stock up so much these ultra sexy verbs(as he used to call them)that nothing remains on the shelves for so long(hehe!!) but you can give it a try.

Sorry but from the link you gave me,i can't say if these are TY verbatim because they did not mention if it's made in Japan and also can't see anything which is written made in Japan on the picture of the spindle. But with verbatim, even if it's not made in Japan but made in Taiwan, you should be fine with them, they remain top notch medias, unlike other medias which are made in Taiwan.

I think there's some kind of misunderstanding over here.I was talking about his link as shown above. But that's not big deal garmoon,we all know that you're much experienced than me in terms of media and knowledge and i respect that.
