Is there one or a program like it which is Vista compatable?

It won't run? It is .Net based, so I would have thought it would. If you mean unpacking, there is an alternative, it just isn't anywhere near as easy. From recollection it involves muxing to mp4 with mp4box, then remuxing back to AVI.
