I'm a mac guy and was curious how many other wannabe Wii Mac modders are out there?
WHen do you think someone will create a solution for us?
Have you heard anything about someone doing something Mac related with the WIi?

you mean for dumping the disk? I dont have a modded wii yet but i believe we can burn the iso's with toast.

yea the iso's can definitely be burned with Toast but the Mac's dvd drive doesn't recognize the format the disks are in. We need someway to unscramble and dump the disk before we can even think about using Toast to burn the image

toast works with some images not all i had the iso for red steel by paradox which i also legally own and i was able to burn the iso finally by using dragon burn for mac os x and it worked pretty good i havent tried toast yet so i have no idea there but the strangest thing happened i had to manually dump my trash from inside terminal because my mac would not empty my trash when i placed the iso in there and then to make matters worse i couldn't copy it out of there eaither so i had to use the terminal command to empty trash i guess it is just dependent on iso format and what is was ripped with

Try Disk Utility, Thats what i burned my GC iso's with. As for Unscrambling once there is a Standard, i guess you could say, thats how all the iso's will be.

Hey guys.

Toast will turn a .iso into an audio file through toast and therefore no good.

There is an unscramble tool available but my knowledge is very very limited.

It seems the unscramble tool takes a .wii file and then programming witchcraft occurs and turns it into a .iso file.

I will try your dragon burn idea and see how that goes and will post back my findings.

If anyone has a start to end process for .iso burning to playing it on a chipped wii then please post.
I will definately posting this when i find out.

I have yet to hear anything about an unscrambler for the Mac....the best way to burn the .ISO files is to use the Disc Utility program....insert DVD-R, click burn, select .iso, DONE!!!

I am gonna give that a go for some reason i am slightly sceptical about it. Not from your info point of view but the file i am burning.

i will post back soon my results.

it would be just great if some mac guru somewhere though "i know i'll make a programme that can burn .iso or .wii files to dvd making it simple for everyone. I would pay for that.

I happen to own both a Mac AND PC - I see each system having their own unique purposes. Anyways, as you know this is a "Windows World". Thus, you have your most critical Applications on the windows in relation to a wii are...

Rawdump 2.0
any .iso burner (Nero, IMGburner, etc.)
Wiiregionfree
WiiBrickBlocker

There are a few more out there (especially based off of the chip you own) but I see those 4 as being the most helpful.

-----------------------------------------------------

On the mac, we have (nearly) everything ported except WiiBrickBlocker v1.3.

Rawdump 2.0 = unscramble v0.4

DL link = http://www.blogadresse.de/wp-content/upl...cramble_0-4.zip

The only downside to unscramble is that it can only change .wii->.iso meaning the only thing that;s missing is the Ripping (sorry, life is tough). I'm unsure of it working completely since I've only been able to gnab .iso's and no .wii's but from what I hear it works well on Intel macs & i havent heard anything on PPC macs. I am unaware of a newer version at this time. It still seemed to launch & hold some function when I just randomly ran it on my PPC G5 Mac.

.iso burner

I am currently using the latest Toast Titanium version. As I read above, yes it does want to turn it into some gay CDX file nor will it burn under the ISO 9660 settings. Apple's Disk Utility seemed to burn it just fine w/o any errors or exceptions.

WiiegionFree
I was able to launch Wiigionfree.jar off of my mac with no problems. I found an Afterdawn thread going much more in depth about using it and downloading it. ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/521313 )

Hope this helps!!!
