hmmm. i just want to ask if you have to have a router for downloading torrents or does the router make the torrents speed go way up. I have a d-link router but currently im connected directly to the internet and i've downloaded a 2.4gb torrent with out the router but it was slow!!So can anyone just answer me if you have to have a router for torrents or does it make it go faster????

The speed of your torrents depends mainly on the load on your network, the setup of your torrent program, and the seed-to-leech ratio.
