too many sectors backing up a game?

trying to back up my games and when i got to splinter cell chaos theory, as far as the game being under 4.7 gigs, that was fine, but it said there were too many sectors to burn image. this was before i even burned the image on dvd decryptor. i ripped the game to a folder, made an iso of that folder with quix, and last when i tried to burn the image with dvd decryptor it told me there were too many sectors to burn image, continue anyway? i said no, because i didnt want to waste a dvd. any ideas. i took out all the PAL videos of the game, but i dont think / know if that freed up enough sectors.

anyone have this problem before and know the solution. could it be maybe just the brand of disc im using?
