I have been working on this problem and am at wits end. Here is a recap.
I have - XBOX 1.0
Xecuter 3ce
Now i got the chip installed. Used flashibios and loaded x3 3294. Then when I power up it comes on then goes off. I tried the next three prior bios and they did the same thing. I took the chip out and put it in 1.6 xbox and flashed with 3294. It was golden. I then flashed the chip on the 1.6 xbox with 3294 (the non 1.6plus ver) and then popped it back in the xbox. Same thing as before, on then off when powering up.
I then loaded evox m8 on it from dvd. Same thing. Turn on then it shuts off.
I then loaded evox m7ef on it and it fired up! I was surprised. I then tried loading x3 2914 and it boots up to x3 live config. I set everything up and it seemed to work. The problem now is every time I set the settings in x3 live config and then reboot it goes back to x3 live config even though I disabled auto start up. All my settings are back to default everytime. I can boot to dash and use the dash by choosing it in x3 live config after changing the boot to F but as soon as I either reboot or turn it off and on the x3 loses all the settings and it starts back up and shows autostart enabled and all my settings are gone (i.e. quicklaunch bootdrive etc.)
I have no clue what to do next. I tried x3 2913 and it boots but does the same thing. Loses the settings. Any bios above 2914 it just comes on and goes off. I thought maybe it was because I was using a S video cable so I switched to composite and it still shuts off with any newer bios. This is really getting frustrating. Any ideas would be appreciated.
